Searching for Online Courses

Prospective APSU Students | Current APSU Students

Prospective APSU Students

  1. Navigate to the Schedule of Classes.
     
  2. Select a campus and term option that best fits your needs.

  3. Select the appropriate term and check Show online courses only.  You can also choose to limit by determine or only those sections that have seats remaining.

  4. Select Show Schedule.

  5. It may take a moment to load but then you should see a document with all the courses listed that meet your search criteria.

  6. If you need to see course descriptions, navigate to the Academic Bulletin.
     
  7. Select the most recent year.
     
  8. Select Course Descriptions on the left side menu.

 

Current APSU Students

  1. Log into AP OneStop
     
  2. Select Web Self Service.

  3. Select Student and then Registration.

  4. Select Look Up Classes.

  5. Use the drop down menu to choose a term and then Submit.
     
  6. Select Advanced Search.

  7. On the Advanced Search screen you have many options to choose from to narrow down the courses you are looking to find.  In order to find online courses, you must…

    Subject:  You are required to select at least one subject.  You can select multiple subjects by holding down the Ctrl button on your keyboard as you left-click each subject with your mouse.  You can choose all subjects or groups of subjects by left-clicking the first subject and keeping it clicked while you move the mouse down to highlight other subjects.

    Instructional Method:  Select WEB-Asynchronous from the drop down menu.

Campus: Leave All selected.

Session: Leave blank.  Online courses do not have days and times set.

  1. When finished make your selections select Section Search at the bottom of the screen.
     
  2. The next page displays your search results.  If you do not see a course listed that you were expecting, it may be that your search settings were too narrow.  Go back to the previous page and remove some of the restrictions.
     
  3. The results page provides a lot of useful information about the courses.  All online sections are noted with a W in the section.  You can also see the capacity and remaining seats.

  4. To see the course description, corequisites, prerequisites and restrictions, select the CRN link.

  5. Select the course title link.

  6. General requirements, corequisites, prerequisites and restrictions will be listed towards the bottom.

  7. Select View Catalog Entry to see the course description.
