Info for university VPN users:
This process is NOW automated. The client is installed on your computer; you should be able to find it by searching for "FortiClient VPN." Once it is there, open it. The screen will look like this:
Press connect. You will then see the APSU sign-on screen, and you will be required to complete your sign-in with MFA – either via text or an authenticator app.
You will get a VPN Connected screen if you are successful in accessing the VPN:
Special note for Windows users:
You should also be able to find the FortiClient VPN icon in the task bar on your desktop:
Special info for Mac users:
When the client is installing, you will see the following pop-up screen:
Click OK. Then this pop-up will show:
Click Allow.
The FortiClient VPN icon will show in your desktop tray:
