How do I access Skype for Business on my Mac?

 

 

 

OS X 10.5 (Leopard) through OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)

  1. Currently Skype for Business is available via Lync for Mac. Click here to download and install the software.
     
  2. Input your entire email address into both the Email Address and User ID fields. Input the password and click Sign In.

  3. To add a user, search for their name in the search bar Double-click an individual’s name to start a chat conversation.

  4. Click the plus sign beside the individual’s name to add them to your contact list/

  5. To sort your contacts into groups, right-click on Other Contacts and click Create New Group.

 OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) and later

  1. Click here to download and install the software.
     
  2. Input your entire email address into both the Email Address and User ID fields. Input the password and click Sign In.

  3. To add a user, search for their name in the search bar Double-click an individual’s name to start a chat conversation.

  4. Right-click on a user’s name and choose Add Contact name to add them to your contact list.

  5. To sort your contacts into groups, right-click anywhere in the contact list and click New Group.
