Remember that a wireless connection is shared with everyone else connected to it, and is not as stable. A wired connection is dedicated, and has better performance.
University-owned computers will default to wireless if the wireless is turned on, even if they are hard-wired in as well.
- To disable the wireless on a PC, click the network icon next to the clock and click Wi-Fi.

- To disable the wireless on a Mac, toggle your wireless off by going to the network icon at the top and choosing Turn Wi-Fi Off.
