Transferring a OneNote Notebook to a New Owner

The following steps can only be completed on the PC version of OneNote.

 

  1. In OneNote, open the notebook you wish to transfer. Go to File, then Export.

  2. Click Notebook under Export Current: and choose OneNote Package (*.onepkg) under Select Format:. Click Export.

  3. Choose a name for the notebook. You can also change the notebook color and save location. Click Create.

  4. The notebook will be saved to the location you chose and can now be sent to someone else.
