📘 KB Article: Using Microsoft Visio with Your University License
❗ Important Notice
The Microsoft Visio Desktop application is not supported under the university’s current Microsoft 365 license. If you attempt to install or launch the desktop version, it will not activate or function correctly.
However, you can still use Visio through the web version, which is fully supported and accessible via your university Microsoft 365 account.
✅ How to Access Visio for the Web
Step 1: Sign in to Microsoft 365
- Go to https://office.com
- Sign in using your university email address and password.
Step 2: Launch Visio
- Click the App Launcher (grid icon) in the top-left corner.
- Select Visio from the list of apps.
- If you don’t see it, click “All apps” and scroll down.

- Create flowcharts, org charts, network diagrams, and more.
- Use built-in templates and shapes.
- Collaborate in real-time with classmates or colleagues.
