For Projectors, Displays, Lecterns, AirMedia, Teams/Zoom, Audio Systems, & Document Cameras
1. Start Here: Quick Power & Connection Checks

Check the Crestron Touch Panel
- Ensure the system is powered on from the Crestron controller.
- If the panel is frozen or unresponsive, press the Home button or look for a Restart/Power option.
- If the panel is dark, tap the screen to wake it.

Check Power at the Lectern
- Confirm the lectern's main power switch is on.
- Look for under-desk power strips and ensure their switches are also on.
- Verify the classroom PC is powered on.
Check Cables
- Make sure HDMI or USB-C cables are securely connected on both the lectern and the laptop.
- If using adapters, reseat them or try another adapter.
2. Projector or Display Not Showing Anything
Try These Steps
- Select the correct input on the Crestron panel (e.g., PC, Laptop HDMI, AirMedia).
- If using a laptop:
- HDMI: Reseat cable at both ends.
- USB-C: Ensure it supports video output (not all do).
- Wake up the projector/display:
- Look for a blinking or amber light—it may be warming up.
- Check laptops display settings:
- Windows: Win + P → choose Duplicate or Extend
- Mac: System Settings → Displays → enable Mirror Display

- If using a Mac, approve the screen sharing prompt when it appears.
4. Microphone & Audio Issues (Lapel, Handheld, Boundary Mics)
No Audio Through Speakers?
- Ensure the correct audio source is selected on the Crestron panel (e.g., PC, Laptop, AirMedia).
- Check that the room volume is not just the laptop volume.

Lapel / Wireless Mic Not Working?
- Check the power switch on the transmitter.
- Verify that the battery is seated properly, or replace it if it is low.

In Teams/Zoom
- Select the correct Microphone and Speaker device in Settings → Audio.
- Run the test call or "Test Microphone" feature.
