Austin Peay State University utilizes an emergency notification system, RAVE Alert, to communicate official information during an emergency or crisis situation that disrupts normal campus operations or threatens the health or safety of members of the campus community.
All Austin Peay State University students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to register for the RAVE Alert with their official university e-mail address. We encourage students, staff, and faculty to add other contact information, such as mobile, to their APSU Alert accounts. Parents, media, visitors, and other interested parties may register for RAVE Alert on a voluntary self-subscription basis.
RAVE Alert uses the following methods to send immediate notifications:
Text Messages—sent to phone numbers that have been entered by the individual user.
Email—to all apsu.edu email addresses.
All registered students and current faculty and staff are automatically enrolled into the system through their email account using single sign-on (the same password you use for APSU email, OneStop, etc.). However, to receive text messages you will need to re-establish your mobile number with your account.
To login to your account, go to www.getrave.com/login/apsu. A screen requesting your username and password will appear. For the username, only use the first part of your email address. For example, if Jane Doe’s email is doej@apsu.edu, she would only use doej for the username. Your password is your single sign-on password.
Once logged in, you can add up to three mobile numbers and two additional email addresses to your account.
Additionally, anyone can now opt-in for text messages using their mobile device by texting APSUGovs to 67283. However, if you have a university email address, it is best to utilize your account to manage your email and mobile numbers to receive messages.
