Requesting Extended Access to the APSU-Guest Wireless Network

Please note that this network is not for use by APSU students, faculty, or staff. Access to APSU network resources will not be available from the guest network.

 

  1. All users should see APSU-Guest in the list of available wireless networks. By clicking on the network name, you can then click Connect in order to connect to the network.

  2. Once connected, open an internet browser window and attempt to connect to a webpage. You will be taken to a login page like the one below. The first time you connect, you should click the link at the top that says Require extended access? to register for a temporary guest account with an expiration window of longer than 24 hours.

  3. You will be prompted to enter your name, phone number, email address, a reason for the extended access request, and to confirm the terms of use. Click Register.

  4. The request will need to be approved. You will see the below screen while the approval process is ongoing.

  5. If your request for extended time is rejected, you will see the below screen.

  6. If your request for extended time is approved, you will see the below screen.

  7. You will see the below confirmation screen.

  8. You will receive an email confirming your login information and account expiration.
