-
Choose an available verification method already registered to your account. If offered, Approve a notification on my authenticator app lets you verify through Authenticator, or Enter a code from my authenticator app lets you enter the current code shown for your APSU account. Follow the prompts and complete any additional verification required. Available options may differ by account.

-
On choose a new password, enter a new password of at least 16 characters in Enter new password and repeat it in Confirm new password. A memorable passphrase is recommended. Select Finish. Follow any additional requirements displayed on the reset page.

-
After Microsoft confirms the reset, test the new password at Outlook on the web. Update saved credentials in applications when prompted.
Know your password but cannot sign in?
If the reset page offers I know my password, but still can't sign in, that option is for unlocking your account while keeping its existing password. Follow the verification prompts. This option does not resolve every type of sign-in problem.
Cannot complete verification?
If no usable method is available, Microsoft directs you to an administrator, or the reset fails, contact GovsTech at 931-221-4357 or govstech@apsu.edu. Include the exact error and a screenshot with passwords and codes excluded. Identity verification is required before a manual password reset or MFA change.
If you already know your password and only want to change it, use My Account and select the password-change option.
