Overview (What is it?)
The email whitelisting service allows authorized senders, domains, or applications to be added to approved email lists to help ensure legitimate messages are delivered to recipients and are not blocked or quarantined by campus email security systems. This service is commonly used by third-party vendors, automated systems, survey platforms, event registration platforms, newsletters, and other business-related communications that support university operations.
Eligibility (Who can request it?)
Any employee.
Requests must be associated with a legitimate need of a university business, academic, research, or student organization.
How to Request (Do you need this service?)
If you need to request email whitelisting, click the Request Service button to the right and provide the following information:
- Email address, domain, or application to be whitelisted
- Reason for the request
- Expected sender or vendor name
- Estimated volume of messages (if applicable)
- Duration of the whitelisting request (temporary or permanent)
- Department or organization sponsoring the request
IT security will review the request to ensure it aligns with university security requirements before implementing any exception. Approval is not guaranteed and may require additional information.
